Christmas is not a time for slacking off! Try to keep up with your routine as much as possible and don’t forget that there are a variety of ways you can exercise over the Christmas break. Take the family out for a nice long walk, build a snowman (if you are lucky enough to have a white Christmas) or join the kids on their new bikes. You may not be using your fitness equipment as much with a house full of friends and family, but you can still remain active rather than slouching in front of the TV with the chocolates.
Plan ahead. Don’t expect yourself to live on a food plan based on deprivation. Take the time to identify the treats you want to indulge in and choose the trade-offs that you are willing to make. What are the temptations you can have anytime that you can pass by over the holiday months? What portion size will you serve yourself? Thinking proactively will increase your ability to be in control and to make effective choices.
Want to make this holiday season extra special? Why not start your very own phone coaching program with a weight loss coach right now! Together you will keep the holiday pounds away. Hiring a coach is different than recruiting a friend to diet with, or asking your spouse to help. Truth be told, it’s doubtful either one of these “supports” are going to hold up when put to the test. If your spouse is anything like mine, he’s no help at all. I’d get, “It’s a party, enjoy yourself!” Or, “It’s Christmas, have what you want.” And a diet buddy is probably no better. When it comes down to it, they aren’t going to jeopardize your friendship over a diet failure.
Eggs – Eggs contain a good portion of protein and energize your body for longer. This means that you need not eat meals repeatedly and less intake of alternate food. You can try different types of egg recipes – scrambled eggs, omelet, egg sandwich, egg with milk etc and never get bored with your healthy egg breakfast. Eggs supply your body with a good amount of protein and fiber and are consumed by all age types.
Some things that should be included in the breakfast are organic eggs, cottage cheese, raw nut butte or smoked fish. These are essential to healthy breakfast. Add Carbohydrates in form of vegetables, oatmeal, fruits, or sprouted grain bread.
The little engine that could is a great success story that every-one should know. It was a story about always focusing on the “I can” in life instead of worrying about what may seem impossible. Being determined and focused on success will help create a flourishing company that has no clue as how to fail. With a “successful” mindset, your decisions will not be made to prevent failure, but instead to produce success. This is a far more valuable tool for any business because it lacks fear. Fear of failure is not a positive motivation; it is a negative stimulant and keeps your mind focused on thinking about failure. If you are racing on the track, a good driver does not think about the different ways he can lose, that would be counterproductive.
